Merry Christmas Dad

The Christmas lights twinkle
and reflects in our tears,
as we suddenly realize
it's been almost five years.

Our dad left us
and his earthly home.
He's off in the heavens
to eternally roam.

We didn't spend
much time with our dad.
Still we cherish
what little time we had.

But long before leaving
his home here on earth,
we gained from his values
of pride and self-worth.

So our happy memories
Must dull the pain,
and soothe our souls
